My name is Cheryl, and I have research interests in a range of topics across the history and philosophy of science and medicine (HPSM), hence the name of this blog.
I will be using this space on a regular basis to tell stories from the history of bioscience and bioethics, showing how such tales are relevant to current events, research, and issues today. This might include how previous advances in cancer research have led to new potential treatments, the history of anti-vaccination movements, or the ethics of prenatal testing. If there is any topic that catches your eye, or that you’re especially interested in, please let me know in the comments section below, and I will see what I can come up with! Cheryl
